I had a bizarre thought about this today - what if the French pronounciation
is
pretention on the part of Voldemort, and all the good guys call him
Voldemort (those that are brave enough to say it, that is) and all the black
hats call him Voldemore, pandering to his vanity. I once saw a production
of Cymbeline where this tactic was used to great comic effect with
Cloten/Clotten. Could make for a few comic moments in the film - unlikely,
I know, but the thought of it amused me for a few minutes today - mind you,
would anyone have the time to deliberately mispronounce his name while
trying to dodge Avada Kedavra? Plus, hardly anyone uses his name,
anyway...oh, well, just something that came to me when out driving today.
