Actually, this isn't the last we hear of it:  Harry, Ron, and Hermione are in 
the courtyard in CoS when Colin Creevey begs to take Harry's picture and 
Malfoy and Lockhart come along.  From CoS American edition, p. 96: "They 
finished lunch and went outside into the overcast courtyard.  Hermione sat 
down on a stone step and buried her nose in Voyages with Vampires again..."

Still don't know where it is though...
