IIRC, the Schwarzenegger vehicle Kindergarden Cop was also shot in 
Astoria.  I visited there five years ago - it is a cool place.

I agree - IM(sort of)HO, giving Columbus the job of bringing HP to 
the silver screen would be like having Neville Longbottom compete in 
the Triwizards Tournament.
