I never suspected any of the real "bad guys" in any of the books.  I 
did not think about Quirell, and would ever in a million years have 
expected Jenny.  While in PoA there may have been some "It's not 
Sirius" leanings I never thought it was Scabbers...Book Four was yet 
another suprise. I didn't have a clue that it was Moody but then, how 
many people did? I found that revelation quite a shocker!
