You know, it's been mentioned before, but has anyone ever noticed 
that the mouthpiece of Gred and Forge is sort of Fred?  I'm assuming 
that Fred's the older twin by however many minutes (unless wizarding 
births are different than the Muggle variety), but when I first began 
reading the novels I saw them as this monolithic entity.  Almost 
Siamese--JKR hadn't differentiated their personalities.  But there 
does seem to be a difference.  I wonder who initiates most of their 
pranks.

Since George is quiet, maybe he went to the ball alone.  But George 
being gay doesn't jar.  In fact, as Carole says, it seems to fit.
