Curious why you would "ignore" the DeathDay party dating since that's
the most solid evidence of the timeline in question?  The only real
inconsistency with the Deathday date is NHH's statement that he hasn't
eaten in nearly 400 yrs (SS/PS), if he's been dead 500 years according
to CoS.  But, I still think this is the most firm evidence of dating.

Using the 1997 date is odd IMO too since the book wasn't written in
1997, it was merely copyrighted that year.  The draft was completed
sometime in 1995 according to JKR interviews.

Dursley doesn't have a playstation until GoF though, and under your
timeline, he would wait 4 years to use his new playstation.
