Oooooo goody! I've come up with a real, bona fida theory! <basking in warm
fuzzy feelings>

I don't really believe it though. How come, in four whole year at Hogwarts,
neither Harry nor anyone else has remarked how small his class is? And also:
HWMNBM must be an equal opportunity killer, since he apparently thinned out
the girls just as thoroughly as he did the boys, and the future Slytherins
just as mercilessly as the up-and-coming Gryffs.

Still, it just might be ... and it could explain a few things ...
