I have read it recently, too. It took me three weeks, and that's long
for my standards. It *did* get better as it went on, but my biggest
problem was the lack of character development. It was nice to have a
girl as the main character, but the rest of the cast was two
dimensional and not very interesting. After finishing it, I really
wondered why everyone seemed to praise it so much.
