Alas, you understand it wasn't simply his mother's love that saved him. It
was that she loved him enough to die for him. All of her that could love
went to shielding him. I fear that for Hermione to shield Harry, too, she
would have to do so by such a sacrifice, especially since she's not blood
kin, which I think had something to do with it, too. I doubt all you
Harry/Hermione fans want her to die for him, eh?
