I have never in my life heard of a "Tame" Komodo Dragon, These are nasty
creatures, even the handlers at the zoo don't deal with them much. We
recently had a group here where I live and we were told that when a Komodo
is moved it's put to sleep for the handlers safety if they were awake they
would attack their handlers because of their territorial instincts. When
they are fed they open a trap door in the TOP of the exhibit and drop it
down also for the handlers safety. A bite from a zoo or wild Komodo is a
guaranteed trip to the hospital with some nasty and I do mean nasty
reproductions.
