Now THIS is an interesting line of thought which would take the series in a
completely new direction. What if the wizards' cover is blown--if the struggle
going on between Dumbledore and Voldemort blows the secret of magic into the open
so that the muggle world becomes so aware of magic that memory charms won't keep
the truth hidden anymore? What if the Muggle world really starts interacting with
the wizarding world? Rowling mentioned that something unexpected was going to be
coming up with the Dursleys.
Imagine if a muggle Rita Skeeter started sniffing around the Dursleys, for
example. . . .
