Actually, tying into another thread, this falls into the "history so recent
that everyone is assumed to know it" category for me. I didn't start paying
attention to personal computers until I could afford one (which wasn't that
long ago...), and didn't opt for a Mac anyway. But they were started by Bill
Gates in his garage, right? That's the pop icon, and that's about all I
know.
