Indeed, you are right, Monika.  Perhaps the reason we haven't learned 
the house the Marauders were in, is because JKR is going to surprise 
us.  My feeling is that, if we learn they were in Gryff., what's the 
reason we haven't been told this yet?  It seems that JKR wouldn't 
hold back this info if it wasn't going to be some big revelation.  
Someone else has pointed out that Sirius comments about Snape 
as "that slimy Slytherin" or something to that effect, and this 
points to Sirius ~not~ being in Slyth, so maybe he wasn't.  I would 
put the marauders in Gryff, too, but this seems to be falling right 
into JKR's trap.  She leads us one way, then hits us with the curve 
ball.  It's happened in every book so far, she won't stop now.  Guess 
we'll see...
