The 15 oz. mugs are slightly less than a pint, which is 16 oz.  About 
half a liter, anyway - a BIG cup of coffee or tea.

Sounds like torture to me.  This no reading for a week thing sounds 
like a contrived way to cause yourself some spiritual pain.  I know 
pain is supposed to be good for the soul, but couldnt you just drop 
an anvil on your toe and get it over with quicker?
