  I can just see it:  Hermione, surrounded by Dementors, pulls out her 
  wand (thinking of Harry of course) and shouts, "EXPECTO PATRONUM!"  
  And out of her wand charges a silvery Penny, who promptly chases the 
  Dementors away.  :)
