	Thanks, Dee! When I ran my vampire theory past my 13 year old, he 
told me about Vampire Hunter D, but I didn't put that in my post,
since I'm not real familiar with it myself. I'd run across the Dhamphir
term, too, but wasn't sure where it was from. 
	Of course the whole thing may be balderdash, but wouldn't it be 
terribly ironic and oh so JKR if it turned out that Snape, being a 
vampire, was in no particular danger from Remus the night he 
investigated the whomping willow?
