I don't know exactly what they are.  Just some kind of creature, I 
guess.  As soon as I read the part where Barty Crouch Jr. was given 
that lovely kiss, I thought we would see him again.  I just picture 
that once Voldemort gets the dementors on his side there is a way to 
get that person's soul (or whatever) back into them.  Did that make 
any sense?  I am not thinking very well right now!!!  I just know I 
wouldn't want to be around them.  I expect we will see quite a bit of 
them in the next books.
