  Hey, thanks everybody!  You helped make my day very enjoyable!  Now excuse me for getting all maudlin on you, but it really meant a lot, and I'd like to consider you all my friends.  And I heartily propose that we definitely adopt the "birthday" calendar for our little group.  Everyone should have such a nice experience as I had today.

  On to Pullman's series:  these are supposed to be kids' books?!?  I think they would be rather difficult for kids.
