Pettigrew/Scabbers & Marauders' Map

Ok, I just have to ask...Isn't it possible that they saw PP on the 
map and just didn't think about it.  That's assuming they didn't know 
the name.  After all there are 1000 students in the school!

And even if he was in the Gryffindor common room or dorms they might 
not of thought about it.  I mean, would you know all (approx.) 250 of 
the kids in your house.  Know OF them maybe but I seriously doubt 
that you would recognise all their names...
