Well, for those of you (like myself) who didn't think they were, in
rereading Chamber of Secrets I saw that in the confrontation scene, Tom
Riddle says his father abandoned his mother when he found out "his wife"
was a witch. So they *were* married. Which means he's not a sorry
b*****d. Technically speaking.

Just clearing up a detail I, at least, was fuzzy on.
