You know, it's probably because I have jillions of Calvin and Hobbes books
in my bathroom, that I didn't even consider the use of the word as unusual.
I'm betting more Americans have read Calvin and Hobbes, and know it from
there, than from that (to my reading) depressing poem, but I don't know
about JKR.
