But the whole point of Dumbo is that he overcomes the cruelity
he's subjected to.  Obviously there's none of the atrocities you describe
because it would be too upsetting to children, but Disney is hardly
complementary to the circus -- he's *protesting* the attitude that
"Elephants ain't got no feelings...They're made of rubber".
