She probably should have qualified that statement with a 'that she knew
of' and now she has met one even if she didn't realize it :-).

The fact is that especially in UK few 'real' witches or 'real' magicians
go around declaring the fact to people who are not involved. It is quite
a closed community which generally keeps itself to itself.
