Savages? Were the people who lived in the U.S.A. before Columbus

Have you read the Iriquois statement of confederation upon
which the U.S. constitution was partially based?
And despite their race? do you mean, despite the fact that they
weren't white, because after all white is better, and we
should accept those people even if they are non-white?
