I have to add my support here.  I started Emerald House Rising last 
night and while I have only read a few chapters, I love it!  (I read 
a lot of sci-fi/fantasy and unfortunately much of it is badly written 
and full of cliche, but this is neither.)  Emerald House Rising is so 
good in fact, that it will take all my will power to get some work 
done today - I would so much rather keep reading it.
