All the theoretical research by Black Hole/Space-Time Warp expert
Kip Thorne seems to indicate that while backward time travel is
*theoretically* possible -- by making a four-dimensional tunnel thru space-time
(a "wormhole") and then using near-lightspeed accelertion to send one mouth
of the tunnel into the distant future -- any attempt to use this "time tunnell"
will always cause it to self-distruct and prevent the journey into the
past.
