I wrote an essay last year in which I used Schrodinger's Cat as a 
starting point for discussing why fate and free will are not mutually 
exclusive.
About using the Time Turner to go into the future, though, do we even 
know that's possible?  Maybe it can only go into the past, and 
despite the evidence back at Yahoo that someone took a Time Turner 
back to 1969 to mess with us, it might have a limited range into the 
past at that (maybe only a couple days or so).   I wonder if the Time 
Turner is going to pop up again or if it's going to be specific to 
one book like the Mirror of Erised.
