Schrodinger's Cat is an illustration used to illustrate principles in
quantum mechanics. I would attemtp to explain it but I'd probably end up
talking about wavefunctions and orbital mechanics.
Basically, at the subatomic level, the Uncertainty Principle says that you
can never know everything about a particle with complete accuracy, because
the act of observation alters the state of the particle.
