I'm new to the list, so this has probably been long ago considered and
discarded, but....authors *do* screw up sometimes. Maybe JKR just was caught
up in the drama of the moment? Has she verified in any interviews or
anything that the order was deliberate, not just a snafu? Things do slip by,
like the editors forgetting to change "sherbet lemon" to "lemon drop" in the
American version of b4 (Dumbledore's password); Harry's guesses of other
candy types don't make much sense unless you know sherbet lemon is British
for lemon drop. Like sweaters are jumpers. Etc.

Okay, I'll stand back so I'll be a good, clear target now.
