Actually, that is consistent with the phonetic shift from British to
American English, but please don't ask me to elaborate. I threw out
my Phonetics notes the day after my graduation and don't remember
anything else. ;-)

I just finished listening to PS read by Stephen Fry and loved the way
he does it.
