One of my students brought me *Redwall* the other week. He's in
fifth grade. He did so because he said he knew of a series that was
much better than Harry Potter, which was "kid stuff".
He'll change his tune by the time our class gets finished with
him. :-) Especially since the recent firing of one of my colleagues
(bad) left me with several HP-crazed sixth grade teacher's aides who
are anxious to make the Hogwarts month even more fun than it was for
them last year via decorations, games and more (good).
BTW, has anyone seen any HP Halloween stuff yet? I haven't. And all
I want for Christmas 2000 and 2001 are HP porcelain dolls. Can't
wait until Danbury or one of the other dollmakers start rolling 'em
out. ;)
