I agree entirely with your sentiments, Ebony.  I have many, many 
books in my house - from Grisham to Agatha Christie to Dickens to 
stacks of textbooks and back again.  They all get along pretty well, 
except for J.D. Salinger, who tends to snarl at everyone, especially 
the younger authors.
