In my outline for the paper, I've already made a note to explore 
something along these lines.  Reading PoA via psychoanalysis, the 
Sirius in the dream-content of the culminating chapters is a 
condensed symbol of JKR's Austen-influenced dream-thoughts.  

Of course, this is all still in hypothesis stage.
