Hmmmm...fascinating...

Remember that Ron is a chess player in the CoS that is his special 
strength...

Given that all the good wizards and witches are about to embark on a 
major struggle against Voldemort, Malfoy et aliae, perhaps Ron will
become the strategist/general of the effort?
