Ack, I forgot to include the comments about AD!  Like I said the 
children both have the muggle father's last name, and perhaps AD 
wasn't Head at the time of birth?  He just didn't know!  Only three 
people knew--Mommy, Daddy, and Father.  To the rest of the world, 
Lily was Lily Muggle.
