Of course, after Book 7, she will no longer have further use for *any* of
the HP characters. Will she therefore kill everyone in the series?

Don't forget Voldemort - just as Shakespeare was compelled to finish off
Claudius at the end of Hamlet, there's no way Voldy - or his allies in the
Malfoy clan - will survive Book Seven. It could be that JKR is planning a
final bloodbath of Elizabethan dimensions which will require the sacrifice
of several "good" characters. The increasingly uncanny parallels between
Harry and Voldy seemingly point to some shared linkage of their common
destinies, and Harry may have to do a John 3:14 to rid the Wizard World of
Voldemort's evil.
At the same time, to me Harry seems more a Prince Harry (aka Prince Hal,
later Henry V) than a Hamlet; while the series could end with his death, my
guess is that he'll be there at the end of Book 7, on the threshhold of
aduthood, to deliver a powerful eulogy about those (Sirius Black, Lupin,
Snape, Dumbledore, Ron?, Pettigrew??, [switching sides], Hagrid?), who gave
their last full measure of devotion.
