Just a quick note on exams for Simon. My father went to Rice in Houston, back
when it was the Rice Institute, and he told me his best, worst exam. It was in
human parasitology (whatever the real term is). They'd spent all semester
learning what you could pick up, how, where, etc., but writing no papers, taking
no tests. The final exam was the whole grade, and consisted of one question,
something along the lines of, "You're in Central Mexico (or someplace) in
September. What parasites should you worry about picking up and how would you
get them? Discuss."
