Opps! I think you mean Moldy Volde, not our hero Snape! careful now, 
legions of Snape fans will be after your blood. <g>

I see what you mean, but I don't know that this proves that Voldemort 
has some kind of magic ability to see through lies or read minds: I 
think it might be just that he is a very powerful manipulator, good 
at detecting hesitation etc.

still who knows? all may (or may not) be revealed in due course
