I think Dumbledore would be willing to speed things up.

But I don't think he'd be willing to speed things up without seeing if 
there was a way to safely remove the Dark Mark (and replace it with a 
believable fake) or diminish it so Snape only suffered pain on 
Voldemort's death.

Dumbledore believes that Voldemort's return is a matter of utmost 
priority and urgency, but he's too kind a man to subject his people to 
needless torment if there's a way around it, in my opinion.
