Steve, add another name to the list of people who don't care for 
fanfic.  I agree with everything you have said (including your first 
post on the matter).  I also don't care if people write and/or read 
fanfic.  I just personally don't like it and don't know why so many 
people are offended when I say so.

I think this is where I so agree with you.  There is a difference 
between discussions and fiction.  I come up with my theories based 
only on the book and never on fanfic.
