Since the only way that Harry has ever gotten anything as nice as a 
watch has been from Dudley's castoffs, my guess is that it was top-of-
the-line digital with a lit up dial and 57 other functions. Dudley 
probably broke it or tossed it and Harry retrieved it and/or fixed 
it.
