This brings to mind a related question:  Where exactly did Ron go to use
the telephone?   Was it the one in the village?  I seem to remember
there being reference to a phone in Ottery-St. Catchpole.  Didn't Molly
use it to call for muggle taxis or something in GoF?  If so, Ron could
have asked his mother, maybe.   But he must have been quite a sight,
shouting at the top of his lungs and must have called attention to
himself.
