Oh, I don't know:

I consider the Pettigrew-framed-Sirius-and-cut-off-his-own-finger-
turned-into-a-rat-got-adopted-by-Percy-then-handed-down-to-Ron-and-
chased-by-Crookshanks-before-being-revealed-as-the-Death-Eater-who-
betrayed-the-Potters ...*gasp*  pretty convoluted.
