Hehehe. There would be a certain irony in keeping him
alive. If dear Voldie could be rendered powerless and
maintain full conciousness the ideal punishment would
be to leave him in the care of a few Muggles, I think
he would find that suffering enough. 

Alive and stuck in the care of people he hates with
only dreams of what he has lost. Nice;)
