Halloween, Christmas and Easter were all pagen holiday's addapted by the
Churge to make Christianity appeal to Pagans.  If youw ant a full work up of
each holliday I can send you my rant on this subject that I wrote a while
back that never got published.  (It was supposed to be a defending of Harry
Potter but turned into a three page history lesson).
