I have a feeling that Draco will (for lack of a better phrase) Do a 
good deed, similar to Snape trying to save Harry at that Quidditch 
match when his broom went haywire...  I suppose just to prove he is 
not all that bad?  Or maybe because he finally realises he has to do 
the right thing...  I see a window of opportunity for his redemption 
in future books...
