Aw come on guys, this is classic stupid evil overlord behaviour! 

Never, ever explain things to the hero before dispatching him because 
it will just buy him time to be rescued dramatically and at the last 
minute. When he asks for an explanation, just say no and shoot him as 
quickly as possible.

Geez, I mean don't these guys ever read the @*&%$ manual??
