What was the saddest scene for you?

The saddest scene for me (at least on rereading), was
reading about Lupin's appearance on the train: his
robes shabby and a battered suitcase tied with a
string. It's the string that gets me for some reason.
He must be horribly poor, and to think he is out of a
job again by PoA.
