Fan-written fiction, basically.

There are lots of places for fanfiction, depending on what kind you want to
read.  A general place to go is http://www.fanfiction.net

For Harry Potter stuff, there is a Yahoo group dedicated to fanfiction.  It
is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hp_fanfiction

There's another group dedicated to Ginny Weasley fanfiction.  It appears to
be a subset of the Harry Potter-Ginny list, but with much less spam.  Here's

And, of course, there's the new one just starting (I think that the
schnoogle one may still be the only one opened, while the others aren't) up:
