 It's possible, but they wouldn't really have to. A
person knowing the right potion could summon it to
them. In the case of Dumbledore, I wouldn't think he
would need the potion at all.

Dumbledore isn't any old wizard. He is considered the
greatest wizard in his time. Why would he need to
complete the challenges to get through? Kind of goes
with the territory especially since he helped plan all
the challenges in the first place and he is the
headmaster of the school.
